Weight Loss

Many people, want a magic pill that will cause what they consider excess weight to melt off overnight so they can have the perfect body they always wanted. I clearly understand that desire. I have been looking for that magic pill for almost 40 years, but so far, I have had no luck. Meanwhile I have lost from about 350 pounds down to 184 pounds which is almost 1/2 my body weight. Along the way I tried a large number of magic pills and many different diet plans, but nothing seemed to work until I realized that my weight did not change from the 95 pounds, I weighed in high school to my 350-pound obese self in one week. It took almost 40 years for that weigh gain to take place. Then I was struck by the realization there was nothing that could safely remove that weight in one week, one month, or even one year. It was clearly a multi-year project with many steps along the way. This realization causes many people to give up in frustration. Don’t let that be you.

If you insist on trying some instant weight loss program, here is a web site with some “proven-to-work” products that may help. I have tried most of them and saw minimal if any change. My problem was not that I was low on some herb, or patented drug. The problem was I did not know how to eat, nor what to eat and my hormones were out of whack. It took many trials to discover the right path for me. Hopefully this paper will save you some time by eliminating what I already discovered does not work. Warning, the list is long and confusing.

Along my path to a slimmer me, I have managed to learn a few things about my body that I can share. The female body is clearly different from my male body and as I read the research for myself, I also looked for the differences between men and women. Some of these are noted below. Unfortunately, there are many factors involved in weight gain/loss for both sexes. Since I do not know anything about the reader, I really cannot provide specific information about the readers case, but I can provide general information and pointers for further reading.
