Weight Loss & Diet

This is a huge subject so I have broken it into smaller chunks. There are 12 sections listed in the index on the left. You are reading the introduction.

In this section you will find many links to products and services that I use. Please be aware that if you purchase from some of these links, I will get a small payment. These payments help pay to cost of keeping this web site running.

Many people will be alarmed by the fact that it often takes 20 years or more for a well-established fact, demonstrated by multiple research studies to change the way medicine is practiced. See the section about the thyroid and iodine for one such example.

There are many reasons for this delay. First, there is a lot of money available to create new things, but little money to maintain old things. This is not confined to medicine, but consider the recent activities surrounding the discovery of Covid 19. Trillions of dollars were spent on the rapid creation and distribution of a new vaccine, but almost no money was spent looking for an existing drug which might solve the problem.

Next, there is the problem of prestige. Scientist get accolades and frequently additional money for finding new things, but they get little or nothing for correcting errors.

Finally, there is the problem of distribution. Doctors rightfully spend their days helping patients and relieving suffering. They do not have time nor the ability to spend hours upon hours reading the latest research. Instead they depend on someone or some organization to provide educational information in capsule form to keep them up to date.

The one most often providing that information transfer is the local drug representative who was hired for the express purpose of selling drugs. It is in their best interest to provide information on the newest and most profitable products. It is a waste of their time trying to correct errors in old information.

With those thoughts in mind I suggest starting down the subjects in order. the links will allow you to return at a later time to continue reading,
